April 20, 2020 We have added an independent third-party certification service for heli-ski companies that agree to record helicopter flights and follow detailed flight plans to avoid disturbing mountain goats in their heli-ski tenures. Heli-ski operations can have a deadly effect on the health and sustainability of mountain goats. Mountain goats do not like helicopters flying close and do not habituate to repeated flights overhead. At the same time, the public and clients are concerned about the effects of their skiing recreation on wildlife. Our certification is assurance that approved heli-ski operations are responsible and following best practices in the industry. Learn more.
